Teen Patti Beginner Guide: Hands, Turns and Table Words

Before opening a room, learn the six hands and five common table words. That is enough to understand the shape of a standard Teen Patti round.

Six hands

From strongest to weakest: Trail, Pure Sequence, Sequence, Colour, Pair and High Card. Some tables differ on special sequences and ties.

Five table words

Blind means the cards have not been viewed. Seen means they have. Chaal continues, Pack folds, Sideshow requests a private comparison and Show ends with a comparison.

Follow one complete round

Watch a round from boot to finish before making fast decisions. Notice how the available buttons and required amount change.

Set the stopping point first

Choose a time limit before play. Leave when the limit arrives instead of extending it because of the previous result.

Hand order in one line

Trail beats Pure Sequence, which beats Sequence, which beats Colour, which beats Pair, which beats High Card. Special sequence and tie rules can vary.

A round in one paragraph

Players place the boot and receive three cards. They continue blind or look and become seen. On each turn they continue or pack. A sideshow may compare eligible seen players. The round ends when one player remains or a show compares the final hands.

Choose the standard room first

Variations such as Muflis, Joker, AK47 and 999 change the ordinary objective or card behaviour. Learn standard Teen Patti before adding one change at a time.

A beginner's real advantage

Clarity is more valuable than speed. Read the amount, recognise the hand category and leave when the session limit arrives. No interface animation or previous result should override that plan.

The five facts to check each turn

Name the variation, identify whether you are blind or seen, recognise the hand category if the cards are visible, read the required amount and count the players who remain. This short scan prevents most beginner confusion.

Then choose only between the actions actually allowed by the room. Chaal continues, Pack leaves the round, Sideshow requests a limited comparison when eligible, and Show resolves the final comparison under the displayed rules.
